Guthrie Kennard was born in Virginia, and raised up in Texas. He has toured, recorded, and collaborated with some of the finest musicians and songwriters in the world, from Marc Benno and Buddy Miles to Smokin Joe Kubek and Ray Wylie Hubbard. His 2009 album, Matchbox (produced by Hubbard) was a top-ten record on the US Americana charts, and reached number two on the European Americana charts. He makes his home in Fort Worth and continues to tour the world with songs that Roots Music Report called "as true as an angel on the witness stand."
